Boatyard Operations Manager
Salary - DOE $55,000 TO $65,000 annually, plus Bonus Plan Participation
Twin Lakes Management Company (TLMC), located at Lakes McSwain and McClure, is currently recruiting for a
BOATYARD OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Under general supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the Boatyard Operations Manager will direct and supervise the daily operations, administration, maintenance and business development of the McClure Point Boatyard and associated services, including other lake operations, lake mooring and dock maintenance projects. Selected candidate will plan, coordinate, supervise, and control through subordinates the daily operation, maintenance and customer service of all facilities, provide superior customer service and communication while assessing the needs of houseboats and other vessels seeking repairs and other services; provide timely, accurate, and appropriate written estimates and contracts for all parts, materials, labor, and other components needed to complete customer job requests; perform fabrication, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other related marine services in a consistent high-quality manner; develop and adhere to marina and boatyard industry best management practices, procedures and guidelines while ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient operation of equipment and facilities for employees and patrons. Develop and maintain Boatyard Operations business plans, budgets, inventories, and other financial records.
Qualifications include any combination of experience and education that would prepare the candidate for the duties and responsibilities of the position. Minimum of five (5) years Supervisory or Management experience in a marine industry environment, with a strong background in customer service, sales, and maintenance or building operations. Marine mechanical and electrical repair and installation experience, metal fabrication and welding experience, houseboat or other building design and construction skills including carpentry, plumbing, painting and fiberglass work are preferred. Must possess a valid class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under vehicle insurance program. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field a plus.
