Description
SUMMARY
Install, troubleshoots, repair and maintains injection molds. Performs P.M. and pro-active inspections of injection molds. Operate machine tools in mold shop. Troubleshoot and repair. Fabricate components.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and other duties as may be assigned.
Disassembles and reassembles injection molds and hot runner systems.
Performs mold changes.
Performs routine PM activities.
Repairs water leaks as necessary.
Monitor and analyze injection mold tooling wear and spare parts usage.
Rework broken or worn parts as required.
Maintain records of work performed.
Basic understanding of injection molding process.
Operate tool room equipment (Lathes, mills, grinders, vertical and horizontal cut off saws)
Use various measuring instruments (calipers, dial indicators and micrometers)
Forklift and overhead crane experience.
Use of electrical measuring tools (digital or analog volt meter).
Must demonstrate the ability to use hand tools for the Mold Department.
Must have own tools and equipment required to perform duties.
Works from drawings, verbal instruction or sketches.
Uses shop math.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to supervise in house projects as well as perform technical lead roles.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
5
years of experience working in a maintenance capacity in an industrial/manufacturing/machine shop environment or equivalent experience.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance several projects at the same time.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimum instruction and monitoring.
Able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Working knowledge of computers in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
Basic understanding of purchasing practices.
Maintains a professional appearance and high level of conduct.
Overtime, weekend, and holiday work mandatory when required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Good verbal and written communications.
Ability to provide written well documented reports for internal and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Strong Math aptitude
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of various types of metals and properties.
Assembly building and prototyping a plus
Ability to work with and understand AC and DC voltage
Work from plans and specifications
Work with limited supervision, follow oral and written instructions
Form and maintain effective working relationships with others
